Purpose
World Skier Ranking (WSR) is an open, participatory ranking where ski technique is scored by viewers around the world rather than by a closed panel of certified judges. Our goal is a place where anyone can take part in judging and where technique itself competes fairly.
How to use
- Browse the ranking: switch between world, country, state/prefecture and city levels.
- Score and vote: on a skier page, watch the video and rate 10 criteria (0-10 each), then submit (one vote per person).
- Take part yourself: from "Register", add your YouTube video ID to create your own results page (subject to approval).
- Appear in regional rankings: country is required; enter state/prefecture and city to be listed in those regional rankings automatically.
🎬 Why YouTube videos
Videos are hosted on YouTube to give every participant a chance to become a pro skier. The better a skier ranks, the more attention they get, which raises the advertising value of their videos. In other words, your everyday practice footage can itself become economic activity.
